<br />DAS:sp 5/5/87 <br /> <br />JUN 1 1987 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 0.1 0 522 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING A CITY-OWNED BROOM-TYPE STREET <br />SWEEPER SURPLUS PROPERTY: AND AUTHORIZING ITS EXCHANGE <br />FOR A VACUUM-TYPE STREET SWEEPER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is the owner of certain <br /> <br />property described as one Elgin Pelican (broom-type) street <br /> <br />sweeper ("Broom Sweeper"): and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that the Broom <br /> <br />Sweeper is not needed for present or prospective municipal or <br /> <br />public purposes: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Ricker Machinery Company of Oakland, California can <br /> <br />make use of the Broom Sweeper and has offered to exchange for the <br /> <br />Broom Sweeper, certain property, described as one Elgin Crosswind <br /> <br />(vacuum-type) street sweeper ("Vacuum Sweeper"): and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Assessor has appraised the said properties <br /> <br />and determined the current reasonable market value thereof: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />declare the Broom Sweeper surplus and to exchange the Broom <br /> <br />Sweeper for the Vacuum Sweeper in accordance with Section 3~ of <br /> <br />the Charter of the City of Redwood City: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. That this Council hereby finds that the Broom Sweeper <br /> <br />is not needed for any present or prospective municipal or public <br /> <br />purposes, and hereby declares said property to be surplus <br /> <br />property. <br /> <br />10522 <br />
