Recipients and <br />their contractors shall not discriminate on the basis <br />of race, color, national origin, or sex in the award <br />and performance of DOT-assisted contracts." <br /> <br />VI. CONTRACT PROCEDURE <br /> <br />This program shall be implemented through the utilization of <br /> <br /> <br />special contract provisions which are attached hereto, <br /> <br />collectively labeled Exhibit "A", and incorporated herein by <br /> <br /> <br />reference. These procedures require bidders to submit the names <br /> <br />of D/WBE subcontractors and suppliers, a description of the work <br /> <br /> <br />each is to perform or material to be furnished, and the dollar <br /> <br /> <br />value of each D/WBE subactivity. <br /> <br />VII. D/WBE NOTIFICATION <br /> <br />Projects will be advertised in local newspapers and minority <br />focus newspapers when possible. These ads will include reference <br />to D/WBE requirements and will indicate DBE and WBE project <br />goals. <br />D/WBE assistance <br />projects scheduled to <br /> <br />centers will receive notification of <br />be advertised.
