<br />Ability to: <br /> <br />Communicate clearly and concisely with participants, parents and <br />agencies both orally and in writing. <br /> <br />Handle stressful situations. <br /> <br />Organize a variety of outings and activities for accessible <br />recreation. <br /> <br />Network with other agencies dealing with disabled populations. <br /> <br />Experience and Education <br /> <br />Any combination equivalent to experience and education that <br />would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities would <br />be qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and <br />abilities would be: <br /> <br />Experience: <br /> <br />One year of experience in working with the developmentally <br />disabled and/or physically limited or the equivaJ.ent to a <br />recreation teacher involve0 in activities. <br /> <br />Education: <br /> <br />One year specialized course work in special education or <br />therapeutic recreation or related field. Bachelor's degree <br />desirable. Equivalent job experience will be considered. <br /> <br />Physical Characteristics: <br />Must be in sufficiently good health to perform job duties. <br /> <br />License or Certificate <br /> <br />Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid <br />California Driver's License and Class II Driver's License. <br /> <br />Work Schedule <br /> <br />Position is 30 hours per week.
