<br />SWC:sh 4/30/87 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10496 <br /> <br />(#19) <br />MAY 5 1987 <br /> <br />OUiG/NAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />(COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT) AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING <br />THERETO (FISCAL YEAR 1987-88) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program <br /> <br />authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community <br /> <br />Development Act of 1974, as enacted by the Congress of the United <br /> <br />States (Pub. Law 93-383), provides for the issuance of grants in <br /> <br />order to attain the objective of the development of viable urban <br /> <br />communi ties, by providing decent housing and a sui table living <br /> <br />environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> <br />persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council, an application to the United States Department of <br /> <br />Housing and Urban Development for a Community Development Block <br /> <br />Grant in the amount of Five Hundred Forty-Six Thousand and No/100 <br /> <br />Dollars ($546,000) for the period of July 1, 1987, through June <br /> <br />30, 1988; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Director of <br /> <br />Community Development a Notice of Determination, determining that <br /> <br />the proposed Community Development Block Grant Program, as set <br /> <br />forth in the aforesaid application, <br /> <br />is exempt from the <br /> <br />requirements of NEPA and CEQA as a ministerial project and does <br /> <br />not have a significant effect on the environment, and a notice of <br /> <br />such determination filed with the County Clerk of San Mateo <br /> <br />County; and <br /> <br />10496 <br />
