<br />01/08/2007 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 14755 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION DECLARING CERTAIN DESCRIBED CITY-OWNED <br />PROPERTY SURPLUS; AND AUTHORIZING SALE THEREOF <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City owns that certain personal property described as <br /> <br />one 1988 Pierce Arrow Fire Engine, and more fully described on Exhibit "A", attached hereto <br /> <br />and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council has received evidence that such property is not needed for <br /> <br />present or prospective municipal or public purposes, and should be declared surplus; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Government Code Section 37351 and Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City as amended, permits the sale of any City property having an <br /> <br />appraised value of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000) or more through public notice and public bid <br /> <br />for not less than 90% of the appraised value; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, attached hereto is Exhibit "An describing the surplus fire engine. It has been <br /> <br />appraised at a value of more than Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000). This piece of surplus <br /> <br />property was originally purchased and put into the fire service in 1987. IT was replaced and <br /> <br />taken out of service in 2005, after serving 18 years and has exceeded its useful life. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to declare said property surplus <br /> <br />and authorize its sale in accordance with Section 3-1/2 of the Charter of the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />REDWOOD CITY, AS FOllOWS: <br /> <br />F:Atty/Reso/Reso.1673 <br />121406 <br /> <br />14755 <br />Formerly Muff # 705 <br />
