5. REPORT FROM CLOSED SESSION: <br />Special Counsel Tom Willis announced that in a Closed Session meeting prior to the <br />regular meeting, City Council approved by a vote of 7 -0, an agreement with Eddie's <br />Bookstore, Inc. to settle pending litigation as that term is defined by the Brown Act. <br />This notice is made pursuant to Government Code Section 54957.1(a)(3). Mr. Willis <br />gave a brief description of ` the settlement. A copy of the settlement agreement is <br />available in the City Clerk's Office. <br />6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY <br />COUNCIUREDEVELOPMENT AGENCY <br />Paula Dresden, Director of the Bethlehem A.D. event, a living nativity sponsored by <br />Peninsula Christian Center and partnered by many other churches in our community. <br />There are 25 churches and civic groups participating in the interactive experience <br />presentation of the town of Bethlehem as it may have appeared on the night of the <br />first Christmas. There are craftspeople, folk dancing and many other activities going <br />on as well as the church across the streets hosting donuts, warm cider and coffee. <br />The church sanctuary will have a live feed of the Bethlehem activities and there will <br />also be a drive thru available on the first night, December 21 from 6 -8 p.m., for those <br />unable to walk through the event. The event is December 21, 22 and 23 until 9:30 <br />p.m. The location is at 1305 Middlefield Road — visit bethlehemad.com. <br />M/S Aguirre /Ira to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by <br />title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. The motion <br />passed by a unanimous roll call vote. <br />6.1 Section — Motions - <br />A. Proposed By -laws amendment for Housing and Human Concerns Committee <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve the proposed By -laws amendment for the Housing and <br />Human Concerns Committee to allow election of officers to occur in September of <br />each year following City Council committee appointments and add a new section <br />regarding Vacancies of Officers. Purchase of one Seagrave Marauder II 100' Aerial Truck <br />Recommendation: <br />By motion, approve the purchase of one Seagrave Marauder II Aerial Truck in the <br />amount of $827,235.68, from Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC of Clintonville, WI, <br />under the cooperative purchase provision of Somerville, NJ Fire Department's <br />contract #10028 -0020.
