<br />SWC:sh 10/01/86 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />~ 2.1 0 3 5 4 <br /> <br />OR\G\NAL <br />OCT 6 1986 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH MIDPENINSULA CITIZENS FOR FAIR HOUSING <br />(EQUAL HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is concerned that equal <br /> <br />housing opportunities be provided to residents and potential <br /> <br />residents of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing has informed <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City that it is experienced in providing <br /> <br />services <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />individuals <br /> <br />who <br /> <br />encounter <br /> <br />illegal <br /> <br />housing <br /> <br />discrimination; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires that Midpeninsula Citizens for <br /> <br />Fair Housing provide such services to residents and potential <br /> <br />residents of Redwood City; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement (Equal Housing <br /> <br />Opportunities)" (form dated 10/1/86), a copy of which agreement <br /> <br />is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy <br /> <br />reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby <br /> <br />approved; and the City Manager is hereby authorized to execute <br /> <br />the agreement approved herein for and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10354 <br /> <br />. ..J <br />
