A typical way to obtain the <br />knowledge and abilities would be: <br /> <br />Experience: <br /> <br />Five years of increasingly responsible journey level mechanic experience, <br />including two (2) years of experience at the lead or supervisor level. <br /> <br />Training: <br /> <br />Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university <br />with major course work in public or business administration, fleet <br />management. or a related field. <br /> <br />License or Certificate: <br /> <br />Possession of valid California Driver's License. <br /> <br />Special Requirements: <br /> <br />Essential duties require the following physical abilities and work environment: <br /> <br />Ability to work around gasoline, diesel fuel, vehicle lubricants and associated <br />chemicals and solvents; work in a variety of environmental conditions <br />including heat, cold, humidity, dampness, dust, smoke, fumes, noise, slippery <br />and uneven surfaces, vibration, machinery and electricity or electrical energy. <br /> <br />Effective Date: January, 2007 <br />Bargaining Unit: Redwood City Management Employees Association <br />
