- ORIGINAl; <br /> (090502) <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Center for Independence of the Disabled <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~ day of <br /> <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Center for Independence of the <br />Disabled, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides variety of services for disabled adults including <br />client assistance program, housing accessibility modification, benefits counseling, <br />information and referral, community education and outreach, advocacy, shopping <br />assistance, and money management; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br /> <br />to Contractor the sum of Eight Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($8,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Eight <br />Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($8,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal <br />year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes <br />described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
