<br />DAS:sh 9/18/86 <br /> <br />SEP 2 2 1986 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />1U;:$47 <br /> <br />ORiGiNAL <br /> <br />--------- <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR SEQUOIA RESERVOIR <br />REHABILITATION PROJECT; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br />SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 10306, adopted August <br /> <br />18, 1986, the City Clerk called for bids for Sequoia Reservoir <br /> <br />rehabilitation in order to strengthen the earthquake resistence <br /> <br />of two major water tanks used by the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Power Engineering, Palo Al to, California, is the <br /> <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of <br /> <br />this Council to award said bid to Power Engineering; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Power Engineering in the estimated sum of <br /> <br />One Million Sixty-seven Thousand No/100 Dollars ($1,067,000.00), <br /> <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated September 16, <br /> <br />1986, for Sequoia Reservoir rehabilitation, is hereby found and <br /> <br />declared to be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City that <br /> <br />certain agreement entitled "Agreement Two Tanks," by and between <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City and Power Engineering, for the <br /> <br />performance of said work in accordance with the abovementioned <br /> <br />bid proposal a copy of which agreement is presently on file in <br /> <br />1U347 <br />
