ORIGINAL <br /> (090502) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Human Investment Program <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~I~ day of ~ <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Human Investment Program, a <br />California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides assistance to improve the housing conditions <br />and life skills of those with special needs - single parents, children, elderly, disabled, <br />the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit ^, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br /> <br />to Contractor the sum of Twelve Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($12,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Twelve Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($12,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during <br />the fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> 3. CHANGES TO PROGRAM. No changes in the Program described in this <br />Agreement which are funded by the financial assistance provided under Paragraph 1 <br />will be made without the prior written consent of City. <br /> <br /> <br />
