ORIGINAL <br /> (090502) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula - Sequoia YMCA After School Childcare <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this,~ ~"~-~ d ay o f (~OC~"~, <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and YMCA of the Mid-Peninsula - Sequoia <br />YMCA After School Childcare, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") <br />(collectively the "Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides after-school childcare programs for families in <br />Redwood City. Funding from HSFA will support a financial aid program for families <br />unable to pay full tuition for the program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br /> <br />to Contractor the sum of Fifteen Thousand and No/100 ($15,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Fifteen Thousand and No/100 ($15,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
