SPECIAL ORDERS: Presentation: Community Building Award to John Nelson Mayor Pierce commended Mr. Nelson while explaining all of his many contributions toward community building beginning in his role as Woodside neighborhood co- chair. She explained that the award goes beyond volunteerism and is not an annual award but rather for that rare person that is nominated for their ongoing commitment and dedication to community building. Presentation: Redwood City Our Town - Downtown! City Manager introduced the video produced by Peninsula TV that is available to view on the City website at www:redwoodcity.org /cds /redevelopment /downtown /video.htmI and is shown on the Pen TV channel. Vice Mayor Foust asked that everyone join her in wishing Mayor Pierce a happy birthday. 6. ORAL COMMUNICATIONS AND CONSENT CALENDAR - CITY COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY M/S Howard /Aguirre to waive reading of the Consent Calendar except the ordinances by title, adopt the resolutions and the ordinances, and approve other items. Mayor Pierce clarified that Item 6.3.D contains two resolutions for adoption, rather than one as shown on the agenda. The motion passed by a unanimous roll call vote with Council Member Bain abstaining on Item 6.1.A due to his absence. 6.1 Section — Motions - A. Approve the Joint City Council meeting minutes of December 4, 2006 and December 11, 2006 as submitted. (301) MINUTE ORDER 07 -001 B.
