- 0BJGINAL <br /> (090502) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> Teen Pregnancy Coalition of San Mateo County <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~-'~ day of ~ <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Teen Pregnancy Coalition of San <br />Mateo County, a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br />"Parties"); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides educational programs for youth in the <br />community on pregnancy prevention and for parents on character education - helping <br />parents/adults talk with youth non-judgmentally about assuming adult responsibility; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br />to Contractor the sum of Nine Thousand and No/100 ($9,000); <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of Nine <br />Thousand and No/100 ($9,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the fiscal year <br />commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the purposes described <br />in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
