-' ORIGINAL - <br /> (090502) <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> Youth and Family Assistance (Crisis Intervention) <br /> <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~r ~'day of~, <br />2002, by and between the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, a charter city and municipal <br />corporation of the State of California ("City") and Youth and Family Assistance (Crisis <br />Intervention), a California nonprofit organization ("Contractor") (collectively the <br />"Parties"); <br /> <br /> WlTNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor provides a 24-hour suicide and crisis hotline for San <br />Mateo County as a part of a comprehensive network of services that decrease high risk <br />behaviors, increases self-reliance and strengthens healthy family environments for <br />youth and families; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct <br />the program described in the attached Exhibit A, which is incorporated herein by this <br />reference (the "Program"), for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July <br />1,2002, and ending June 30, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City Council has reviewed said request; finds that providing the <br />financial assistance will benefit Redwood City and its citizens; and, desires to allocate <br /> <br />to Contractor the sum of Eleven Thousand and No/100 ($11,000); <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the Parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE. City will allocate to Contractor the sum of <br />Eleven Thousand and No/100 ($11,000) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 2002, and ending June 30, 2003, solely for the <br />purposes described in Paragraph 2. <br /> <br /> 2. USE OF FUNDS. Contractor will use the funds provided pursuant to <br />Paragraph 1 solely for the Program purposes. <br /> <br /> <br />
