<br />DAS:sh 5/14/86 <br /> <br />MAY 1 ~ 1986 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />10216 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND <br />AGREEMENT WITH COUNTY OF <br />AGING - 1986-87) <br /> <br />AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />SAN MATEO (AREA AGENCY ON <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of San <br /> <br />Mateo, California has designated itself the Area Agency on Aging <br /> <br />and has undertaken the administration of a program to foster the <br /> <br />development of comprehensive and coordinated service systems to <br /> <br />serve older persons pursuant to the Older Americans Act of 1964, <br /> <br />as amended, Pub. L. 89-73; 42 U.S.C. Section 3001 et seq., and <br /> <br />all <br /> <br />amendments, <br /> <br />rules <br /> <br />and regulations pertaining thereto <br /> <br />(hereinafter, collectively referred to as the "Act"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is necessary and desirable that said Area Agency <br /> <br />contract pursuant to said Act for the purpose of procuring those <br /> <br />projects known as Social Services and Nutrition (hereinafter <br /> <br />collectively referred to as "Project"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an <br /> <br />agreement with the County of San Mateo to fund Social Services <br /> <br />within the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the intent of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and to authorize its execution in accordance with the <br /> <br />terms and conditions thereof; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Area Agency on Aging <br /> <br />Agreement", by and between the County of San Mateo and the City <br /> <br />of Redwood City, to promote social services in the City of <br /> <br />~ f\ ~) ',C 6,' <br />.Jii..VF.i.J... <br />
