<br />OR1G1NAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />10150 <br /> <br />MAR <br /> <br />n '986 <br />J I' <br /> <br />RESOLUTION HONORING THE SECOND ANNUAL <br />WOMEN'S HAll OF FAME OF SAN MATEO COUNTY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council of Redwood <br />City that on Friday, March 7, 1986, the San Mateo County Board <br />of Supervisors and the Advisory Council on Women will be co- <br />sponsoring the Second Annual Women's Hall of Fame of San Mateo <br />County to celebrate and honor women who live or work in the <br />county; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Women's Hall of Fame has been established to recognize <br />outstanding women, their achievements and their contributions <br />to the well-being of our county and its citizens; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this is the first Women's Hall of Fame in the State of <br />California that has and will continue to recognize and <br />acknowledge the outstanding efforts of the women of this <br />county; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, women of every race, class, and ethnic background play a <br />critical role in the economic, cultural, social, and political <br />spheres of our county, and constitute a significant portion of <br />the labor force working in and outside of the home; <br /> <br />FOllOWS: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br />This Council does hereby commend and honor the outstanding <br />recipients of this distinguished award for their tremendous <br />contributions to the community. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10150 <br />
