District, CN (Neighborhood Commercial)District, CB (Central Business) District, <br /> CG (General Commemial) District, TP (Tidal Plain) District, and MH (Mobile <br /> Home) District as defined by the Zoning Ordinance of the City. <br /> <br /> Sec. 12.10. SECTION '101.2 AMENDED. Section 101.2 of the Fire Code is <br /> hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 101.2. Scope. This Code prescribes regulations consistent with <br /> nationally recognized good practice for the safeguarding to a reasonable degree <br /> of life and property from the hazards of tire, explosion, and dangerous conditions <br /> arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous materials and devices, <br /> and from conditions hazardous to life or property in the use or occupancy of <br /> buildings or premises and provisions to assist emergency response personnel. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this Code shall supplement any and all laws of the State of <br /> California relating to fire safety and shall apply to all persons, firms, corporations <br /> or entities without restriction, unless specifically excepted. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this Code do not apply to off-site transportation of hazardous <br /> materials in accordance with Department of Transportation requirements. <br /> <br /> Sec. 12.11. SECTION 101.6 AMENDED. Section 101.6 of the Fire Code is <br /> hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 101.6. Conflicting Provisions. The provisions of this Code shall be <br /> construed to be in addition to all other requirements and no permit or license <br /> granted hereunder shall be construed to permit a violation of any other ordinance <br /> or regulation of the City. Where there is a conflict between a general <br /> requirement and a specific requirement, the specific requirement shall be <br /> applicable. <br /> <br /> Sec. 12.12. SECTION 102.1 AMENDED. Section 102.1 of the Fire Code is <br />hereby amended to read in its entirety as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 102.1. Existing Conditions. The provisions of this Code shall apply to <br /> existing conditions as well as to conditions arising after the adoption thereof, <br /> except that the conditions legally in existence at the time of adoption of this Code <br /> and not in strict compliance therewith shall be permitted to continue only if, in the <br /> opinion of the Fire Chief, they do not constitute a distinct hazard to life or <br /> property. See also Appendices I-A and I-B. <br /> <br /> Sec. 12.11. SECTION 103.4.5 AMENDED. Section 103.4.5 of the Fire Code is <br />hereby amended in its entirety to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 103.4.5.
