<br /> DEFINITIONS
<br />
<br /> Section 2.1 Use of Definitions. Unless the provision or context otherwise
<br /> requires, the definitions in this article shall govern the construction of this
<br /> ordinance.
<br />
<br /> The present tense includes the past and future tenses; and the future, the
<br /> present.
<br />
<br /> The masculine gender includes the feminine and neuter.
<br />
<br /> The singular number includes the plural; and the plural, the singular.
<br />
<br /> "Shall" is mandatory and "may".is permissive.
<br />
<br /> Section 2.5 'Abutting Parcels. Parcels of land having a common property
<br />line other than a property lha~ located within a public street.
<br />
<br /> Section 2.5.1 Amusement Games. The term "amusement game" shall mean
<br />any device, machine, apparatus, or other instrument (including electronic games,
<br />marble games, and pinball) operated electronically, mechanically, or manually for
<br />amusement purposes which requires for the use thereof the deposit in such device,
<br />machine, apparatus, or instrument or in a receptacle attached to such device,
<br />machine, apparatus, or other instrument or connected therewith, a coin, token, or
<br />other thing of value. The term "amusement game" shall not include a device,
<br />machine, apparatus, or other instrument which contains a pay-off device for the
<br />return of slugs, money, coins, checks, tokens, or merchandise.

<br /> Section 2.5.2 Accessory Dwellings. An accessory dwelling is an attached or
<br />detached residential unit (secondary dwelling unit) on the same lot as a primary
<br />dwelling trait which provides complete, independent living facilities for living,
<br />sleeping, eating, cooking, and sanitation provided that it complies with the
<br />requirements of Article 37.

<br /> Section 2.6 Accessory Use, Building, or Structure. A use, building, or
<br />structure subordinate to the principal use on the same building site and serving a
<br />purpose customarily incidental to the principal use or structure, such as garage
<br />and storage buildings.
<br />
<br /> Section 2.7 Administrative Office. An office for the rendering of service or
<br />general administration, but not including retail sales.
<br />
<br /> Section 2.8 Agriculture. The term "agriculture" includes farming, dairying,
<br />pasturage, apiaries, horticulture, floriculture, viticulture, and animal and poultry
<br />husbandry.
