_ ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13427 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR THE FUNDING OF OFF-SITE ROADWAY <br /> IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO THE WOODSIDE <br /> ROAD/BROADWAY STREET INTERSECTION <br /> <br /> (SEAPORT PLAZA DEVELOPMENT) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on March 3, 1998, the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Redwood City adopted a Mitigated Negative Declaration ("MND") addressing the <br />development of two (2) three-story buildings totaling approximately 158,724 <br />square feet of office/research & development (R&D) uses (the "Project") on the <br />property located at 180 Saginaw Drive in Redwood City, California (the <br />"Property"); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the MND included a traffic analysis (the "MND Traffic <br />Analysis") which determined that the traffic generated by the Project significantly <br />impacted one intersection, the Woodside Road/Broadway Street intersection and <br />contributed to existing traffic congestion at the Seaport Blvd./Blomquist Road <br />intersection; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City approved a Planned <br />Development Permit ("PD Permit") and Tentative Map related to the Project on <br />March 17, 1998 (the "Project Approvals").; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has hired the professional services of Fehr & Peers to <br />perform preliminary traffic engineering and analyses (the '"Traffic Studies") to <br />identify improvements to Woodside Road that will improve traffic conditions <br /> <br />F:~shared~Redwood~Council~ 1 <br />Reso-488 <br />FXS:rgAnge <br />0B/21/98; 08/25/98R; 09/03/98R <br /> <br /> <br />
