FILE #2063B <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Beeger: <br /> <br />On August 21, 1985, the City Council of Redwood City authorized the <br />Superintendent of Streets (i.e. Director of Public Works) to proceed to <br />cause owners of 1107 Chestnut Street to construct sidewalk along Veterans <br />Boulevard frontage to correct a safety hazard to pedestrians. <br /> <br />As joint owner of property with mailing address of 1107 Chestnut Street, <br />1 hereby issue this Notice To Construct Sidewalk to you, per California <br />Streets and Highw~s coaes, sect10n 58/6 - Notlce to construct and <br />hearing: Circumstances authorizing notice. <br /> <br />- <br />The safety hazard to peaestrians to be corrected is that area lacking <br />sidewalk on Veterans Boulevard from the intersection of Chestnut Street <br />to the property line of Casa de Redwood, which is approximately 555.45 <br />feet in length. Sidewalk construction is to be in conformance with City <br />plans and specifications (attached). <br /> <br />Per California Streets and Highways Codes, Chapter 27 - Construction of <br />Sidewalks and Curbs, Section 5879 - Same: Other particular <br />specifications, if construction of said sidewalk is not commenced within <br />60 days of receiving this Notice To Construct Sidewalk and Hdiligently <br />and without interruption prosecuted to completlon, the Superintendent of <br />Streets shall cause the construction to be done, and the cost of the same <br />shall be a lien on the property.. The last day of this 60 d~ period <br />will be Thursday, December 26, 1985. <br /> <br />Should you have any objections or protests to this Notice To Construct <br />Sidewalk, you can present them to the City Council 4ur1ng thelr regular <br />~et1ng on November II, 1985.
