~ ~ 8/18/98 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13404 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br /> UTILITY SYSTEM MATERIALS; AND AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Section 2.65 of the Redwood <br /> City Code, the City Manager caused public notice inviting bids to be published for <br /> the purchase of utility system materials for the Utility Operation and Maintenance <br /> Division of the Public Works Services Department of the City of Redwood City; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said publication three bids were received; and <br />WHEREAS, Roberts & Brune Co. of Redwood City, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />accept the bid of Roberts & Brune Co.; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Roberts & Brune Co., in the total amount of Two Hundred <br />Six Thousand Five Hundred Twenty and 39/100 Dollars ($206,520.39), <br />computed in accordance with said bidder's proposal dated July 24, 1998 for the <br />purchase of utility system materials, which bid is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk, to which reference is hereby made for the full particulars thereof, is hereby <br />approved, and said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest <br />responsible bidder for the purchase of said materials to the City. <br /> <br />Reso-471 1 <br />DES:djk <br />G:lShared/Shared/RedwcodlCouncil <br />08/07/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
