8/18/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13401 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE SLURRY SEAL <br /> PROJECT 1998; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br /> FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br /> DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13369, adopted June 22, 1998, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Slurry Seal Project 1998, Redwood City, <br />California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, three bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Valley Slurry Seal Company of West Sacramento, California <br />is the lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council <br /> <br />to award said bid to Valley Slurry Seal Company; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Valley Slurry Seal Company in the amount of One Hundred <br />Four Thousand Seven Hundred Forty-four and 56/100 Dollars $104,744.56), <br />computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 21 1998 for the <br />Slurry Seal Project 1998, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found <br />and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said work. <br /> <br /> 2.
