- 8/18/98 <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13400 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE ASPHALT RUBBER <br /> CHIP SEAL PROJECT 1998; AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND DIRECTING RETURN OF <br /> SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13388, adopted June 22, 1998, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal Project 1998, <br />Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Western States Surfacing, Inc. of Modesto, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to Western States Surfacing, Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Western States Surfacing, Inc. in the amount of Three <br />Hundred Three Thousand Four Hundred Forty-four and 98/100 Dollars <br />($303,444.98), computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated July 21, <br />1998 for the Asphalt Rubber Chip Seal Project 1998, is hereby accepted and <br />said bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for <br />said work. <br /> <br />Reso-460 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />07/28/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
