ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13393 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR THE FUNDING OF OFF-SITE ROADWAY <br /> IMPROVEMENTS RELATING TO THE BLOMQUIST STREET- <br /> EAST BAYSHORE ROAD ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br /> (KAUFMAN & BROAD BAIR ISLAND ROAD CONDOMINIUMS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City <br />adopted a Mitigated Negative Declaration ("MND") addressing the development <br />of forty-six (46) condominium units located at 649, 651, and 653 Bair Island <br />Road, Redwood City, California (the "Project") on April 7, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Redwood City <br />approved a Planned Development Permit ("PD Permit") and Tentative Map <br />related to the Project on April 7, 1998; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has hired Fehr & Peers ("Consultant" to perform the <br />traffic engineering and analyses (the "Traffic Study") to identify improvements on <br />or about the Project that will im~,rove traffic conditions; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the MND included a Traffic Analysis (the "MND Traffic <br />Analysis") which determined that the traffic generated by the Project will <br />contribute to the congestion that can result in gridlock on East Bayshore Road <br />and which may temporarily and unintentionally eliminate access to the area <br />known as the Bair Island Area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, representatives from the Redwood City Police and Fire <br />Departments have indicated that a second access to the Bair Island Area is <br /> <br />F:~shared~Redwood~Cou nci~ 1 <br />Reso-446 <br />FXS:rg <br />07109198 <br /> <br /> <br />
