I 0 0 2 8 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION REJECTING ALL BIDS FOR SEQUOIA RESERVOIR NO. <br />1 REHABILITATION; DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY <br />DEPOSITS; AND DIRECTING STAFF TO REDESIGN AND <br />READVERTISE THE PROJECT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9990, adopted August 26, <br /> <br />1985, the City Clerk called for bids for the rehabilitation of <br /> <br />Sequoia Reservoir No.1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, only one bid was received <br /> <br />and filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />improvement project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the bid received exceeded the estimated cost of <br /> <br />rehabilitation of the reservoir; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. Any and all bids requested pursuant to Resolution No. <br /> <br />9990, adopted August 26, 1985, are rejected due to bids exceeding <br /> <br />estimated costs for rehabilitation of Sequoia Reservoir No.1. <br /> <br />2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />return to all unsuccessful bidders all security guaranteeing <br /> <br />execution of the contract upon award. <br /> <br />3. The Director of Public Works is hereby directed to <br /> <br />redesign and readvertise the rehabilitation of Sequoia Reservoir <br /> <br />No.1. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />10028 <br />
