<br />DCB:sh 9/13/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N 2.--9997 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />SEP 1 6 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND DAMES & <br />MOORE FOR SOIL ENGINEERING SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City requires soil engineering <br /> <br />services in connection with the reconstruction work to exterior <br /> <br />levees adjacent to Area "E"; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City desires to engage Dames & <br /> <br />Moore, San Francisco, California to perform such soil engineering <br /> <br />which shall include, but not be limited to the attendance of <br /> <br />preconstruct ion meeting, visit to borrow area to obtain proposed <br /> <br />fill samples, and field services to obtain samples of fill soils <br /> <br />per specifications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Dames & Moore has represented to the City that it <br /> <br />is experienced and qualified to perform all of the abovementioned <br /> <br />soil engineering services as further described in the proposed <br /> <br />agreement therefor; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City, and Dames & Moore entitled "Agreement - Soil Engineering <br /> <br />Services - Area "E" (form dated 9/13/85), a copy of which is <br /> <br />attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is hereby <br /> <br />approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br /> <br />to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the City of <br /> <br />Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9997 <br />
