<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N N O. <br /> <br />9978 <br /> <br />AUG 12 1985 <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE TARGET EDUCATION AND WELFARE COUNCIL, INC. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, The Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., a California <br />non-profit corporation, has been established for the principal purpose of <br />improving neighborhood and community education and promoting economic <br />opportunities of benefit to and in furtherance of the public order, health and <br />\E lf are in the City of Red\'K>od City; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Red\\Ood City has found and determined <br />that the Neighborhood Boards Program so operated and conducted by said corporation <br />is of general value to the residents of the City of Red\'K>od City, and will result <br />in public benefit to the whole community; and <br />WHEREAS, the City proposes to contribute to the Target Education and Welfare <br />Council, Inc., the sum of Twenty Thousand and No/100 Dollars ($20,000.00) during <br />the fiscal year July 1, 1985, through June 30, 1986; <br />NOW THEREFORE: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br />That certain agreement (form dated 8/1/85), by and between the City of <br />Red\'K>od City and the Target Education and Welfare Council, Inc., a copy of which <br />agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, to which copy reference is <br />hereby made for full particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager <br />is hereby authorized and directed to execute the same for and on behalf of the <br />City of Red\\Ood City. <br /> <br />9978 <br />
