I <br /> <br /> 6/8/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13354 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID FOR THE 1997-1998 WATER <br /> TANK REHABILITATION PROJECT; AUTHORIZING <br /> EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK; AND <br /> DIRECTING RETURN OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 13322, adopted April 27, 1998, <br />the City Clerk advertised for bids for the 1997-1998 Water Tank Rehabilitation <br />Project, Redwood City, California; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement, two bids were received for <br />the performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Spiess Construction Co., Inc. of Santa Maria, California is the <br />lowest responsible bidder, and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award said bid to Spiess Construction Co., Inc.; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Spiess Construction Co., Inc. in the amount of Two Hundred <br /> Eighty-nine Thousand Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($289,500.00), <br /> computed in accordance with bidder's proposal dated May 26, 1998, for the <br /> 1997-1998 Water Tank Rehabilitation Project, is hereby accepted and said <br /> bidder is hereby found and declared to be the lowest responsible bidder for said <br /> work. <br /> <br /> ~>~2~ 1 <br /> DES:djk <br /> F:Shared/Redwood/Council <br /> <br /> <br />
