6/1/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13349 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF PURCHASE DOCUMENTS FOR THE PURCHASE OF ITRON <br /> ELECTRONIC METER READING SYSTEM UPGRADE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, written bids without public advertisement were solicited for <br /> the purchase of an Itron electronic meter reading system upgrade, a software <br /> program that the City relies upon to provide water meter reading services and to <br /> produce data used to calculate the water utility bills; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said solicitation, three bids were received; and <br /> WHEREAS, Orcom Systems, Inc. of Bend, Oregon, is the lowest <br /> responsible bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to accept the <br /> <br /> bid of Orcom Systems, Inc.; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br /> CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> 1. The bid of Orcom Systems, Inc. for the purchase of Itron Electronic <br />Reading System Upgrade to the City of Redwood City in the amount of Twelve <br />Thousand Eight Hundred Forty-six and No/100 Dollars ($12,846.00) in <br />accordance with said bidder's proposal dated May 1, 1998, is hereby accepted, <br />and said bidder is hereby declared to be the lowest responsible bidder in <br />response to solicitation for bids without advertisement for said meter reading <br />system upgrade. <br /> <br />Resc-415 1 <br />DES:djk <br />F:/Shared/Redwood/Council <br />05/15/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
