ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT <br /> <br /> for <br /> <br /> HOMELESS PREVENTION AND EVICTION DEFENSE PROJECT <br /> <br /> (LA RAZA CENTRO LEGAL, INC.) <br /> <br /> ,~ T~IS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this ~.~/~t~Xay of <br /> _ <br /> <br />municipal corporation of the State of Califomia, (City), and LA RAZA CENTRO <br />LEGAL, INC., a California nonprofit corporation (Contractor); <br /> <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor conducts a homeless prevention and eviction defense <br />project for persons who reside in the City (the Program); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Contractor has requested financial assistance in order to conduct the <br />Program for residents of City during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending <br />June 30, 1999; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, City has reviewed said request and desires to allocate to Contractor <br />the sum of Twelve Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000.00) from its Community <br />Development Block Grant funds for the Program; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, the parties hereto agree as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Financial Assistance. City shall allocate to Contractor the sum of Twelve <br />Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($12,000.00) for exclusive use by Contractor during the <br />fiscal year commencing July 1, 1998, and ending June 30, 1999, solely for the pm'poses <br />described in paragraph 2. <br /> <br />Agmt-La Raze Centro Legal <br />PS 98-006 <br />8/14/98 <br /> <br /> <br />
