9. Hold Harmless: Permittee shall assume the defense of and indemnity and <br /> save harmless the City of Redwood City, its Council, officers, boards, <br /> commissions, employees, volunteers, and agents from all suits, actions, <br /> damages, or claims to which the City may be subjected of any kind or nature <br /> whatsoever, resulting from or arising out of the performance or failure to <br /> perform of Permittee hereunder, or otherwise arising from or arising out of said <br /> activities herein permitted. <br /> <br />10. City Services: City agrees to provide those services requested in letter dated <br /> March 5, 1998, in furtherance of the activities herein permitted. <br /> <br /> Specifically, the City agrees to provide the following services: <br /> <br /> · Street sweepers to be available at approximately 10:00 a.m. to pick up <br /> fresh horse droppings along the parade route. They will again be available <br /> along the festival area after the festival has closed on Saturday. <br /> <br /> · Deliver and pick up available bleachers to Marshall and Winslow Streets <br /> prior to and after the parade. <br /> <br /> · Deliver barricades, as necessary, to locations along the festival route on <br /> Thursday, July 2nd, at 6:00 p.m., and the parade route, as determined by <br /> the police department and the P.C.A., to be in place before 7:00 a.m. on <br /> Saturday, July 4th. <br /> <br /> · Install along the parade route, immediately before the parade, the P.C.A. <br /> flags, which are in storage at the City Yard, and remove them as soon as <br /> possible after the parade. <br /> <br /> · Use of a 1-1/2 inch fire hydrant for an antique fire truck demonstration in <br /> the festival area. <br /> <br /> · Use of parking structure on Marshall Street and use of Hamilton Street <br /> parking lot along Winslow Street for handicap and vendor parking from <br /> 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd, until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th. <br /> <br /> · No parking in the festival area from 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2nd until <br /> 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th, <br /> <br />11. Restroom Facilities: Adequate temporary restroom facilities shall be provided <br /> by Permittee at no expense to the City. <br /> <br />12. Additional or further matters not herein described or contemplated in <br /> connection with the July 4th parade, festival, fireworks, and arts and crafts fair <br /> shall not be effectuated without the prior written consent of the Chief of Police. <br /> <br /> 3 13325 <br /> <br /> <br />
