4/27/98 <br /> <br /> ORIGINAL <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 13320 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION <br /> OF AGREEMENT FOR PERSONAL SERVICES (UMPIRE <br /> SERVICES - RECREATIONAL PROGRAMS) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City conducts softball leagues as part of <br />its recreational program for the benefit of the citizens of the City of Redwood <br />City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the operation of such softball leagues requires that umpires <br />be selected, trained and scheduled to officiate at such softball games; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Peninsula Sports Officials Association has represented to the <br />City that it has the personnel qualified to perform the aforementioned duties and <br />responsibilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council an agreement by <br />and between the City of Redwood City and the Peninsula Sports Officials <br />Association for said association to furnish City with the aforesaid skills and <br />services; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is the intention and desire of this Council to approve said <br /> <br />agreement and authorize its execution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Reso-166 1 <br />DES:djk 13320 <br />F:lSharedlRedwoodlCouncil <br />04~07~98 <br /> <br /> <br />
