Bolanos Redwood City, CA 94063 Telephone (415) 780-7122 Police Chief FAX Line (415) 780-7149 Exhibit A April 27, 1998 Mr. Scott Warner Redwood City Police Department 1301 Maple Street Redwood City, CA 94063 Re: Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club Carnival Dear Mr. Warner, The City Council on April 27, 1998, by resolution XXXXX has authorized me to issue this letter permitting the Woodside Terrace Kiwanis Club, through Butler Amusements, to conduct a Carnival in downtown Redwood City, subject to and in accordance with the terms and conditions herein. The permission herein granted is to the Woodside Kiwanis, (hereinafter for convenience, called "Permittee"), through Butler Amusements by the City of Redwood City (hereinafter called the "City"). This permit is subject to the following terms and conditions: 1. Carnival. The Carnival shall be sponsored and conducted by Permittee. The sale of alcoholic beverages shall be prohibited. 2. Revocation. This permit may be revoked at any time without cause by the City of Redwood City. 3. Non-transferability. This permit is non-transferable. 4. Location. The City shall order the necessary temporary parking lot closures of the City owned municipal lot at Jefferson and Middlefield (refer to attached map) and provide barricades, but Permittee shall be responsible for placing the barricades. The areas as shown on the attaced map shall be reserved for the Carnival. 5. Dates and Time. The Carnival shall be held from 11:00 A.M. on July 2, 1998, and end at 9:00 PM on July 5, 1994. Set up time will begin at 6 PM on Wednesday, July 1, 1998. The site will be cleared by 5 AM on July 6th, 1998. The Carnival shall not operate on July 4, 1998, until after 1 PM or 13317
