6.1 F <br /> Page 12 <br /> 7'.8 Lon�evitv Pav <br /> Employees with ten or more years of service with the City of Redwood City who <br /> maintain a current satisfactory �,erfarmance evaluation and possess a vatid <br /> ac{vanced certificate awarded by the California Commission on Peace Officer <br /> Standards and Training along with sixty (b0} college semester credits of which <br /> twenty-four (24) must be in the Administration of Justice or in the alternative, <br /> an emptoyee who possesses an A.A. or higher degree from an accredited <br /> institution of higher learning, shalt be eligibte to receive an additiflnal 7-1/2% <br /> of pay. <br /> It is understood that an employee shall not receive both Educational fncentive <br /> Pay and Longevity Pay. <br /> 7.9 CatE-Back / Call-Out pay <br /> Employees who are catted back after teaving work at the end of the normal <br /> working day or catled in to work on their days off shall be credited with no tess <br /> than three (3) hours at the overtime rate. <br /> 7.1 Q Educationat Incentive <br /> Police Officers who obtain a P.O.S.T. (ntermediate Certificate shatt receive <br /> educational incentive pay equat to 2.5% of base salary. Police Officers who <br /> obtain a P.O.S.T. Advanced Certificate shall receive educational incentive pay <br /> equal to 5.0% of base salary. It is the emp[oyee's responsibility to submit to the <br /> department training officer a written request for educational incentive pay <br /> upon eligibitity. Therefore, upon receiving the written notification and the <br /> certificate, the City shatl process the educational incentive pay effective <br /> retroactively to the date of written reguest. <br /> The Tra7ning Manager shall post on a semi-annual basis the P.O.S.T. <br /> requirements for Intermediate and Advanced Certificates and a list of the <br /> names of officers who currently possess either Certificate. <br /> 7.11 K-9 Maintenance Compensation <br /> Police Officers who are assigned as K-9 officers shall receive seven (7) hours of <br /> pay per pay period, compensated at one and-half (1-1/2) times the emptoyee's <br /> base pay, for the care and maintenance of their dog. <br /> 9 <br />
