Attendance at Meetings by Employees and S~-cewards <br /> <br /> ab/employees who are offidal representatives or unit representatives of the <br /> Union shall be given reasonable time off with pay to attend meetings with <br /> management representatives, or to be present at headngs where matters <br /> within the scope of representation or grievances are being considered. The usa <br /> of offidal time for this purlx~e shall be reasonable and shall not interfere with <br /> the performance of aty sarvices as determined by the City Human Resources <br /> Director or the Fire Chief. Such employee representatives shall submit a <br /> written request for excused absence to the Fire Chief or his/her designated <br /> representative with information copy to the ab/ I~lanager, at least two (2) <br /> wonking clays pdor to the scheduled mee~ng, unless waived by the Rre Chief. <br /> Except by mutual agreement, the number of employees excused for such <br /> purposes shall not exceed three (3). The Union may provide one (1) steward <br /> for each shitt. <br /> <br /> SECTION 6 - NO STR.TKE <br /> <br />The Union, its membem and representatives, agree that it and they will not engage in, <br />authorize, sanson, or support any strike, slowdown, stoppage of work, curtailment of <br />production, concerted refusal of overtime work, refusal to operate designated equipment <br />(provided such equipment is safe and sound) or to perform customary duties; and <br />neither the Union, nor any representatives thereof, shall engage in job adtion for the <br />purpose of effecting changes in the directives or derisions of management of the City, <br />nor to effect a change of personnel or operations of management or of employees not <br />covered by this MOU. <br /> <br />7.1 Pay Period <br /> <br /> Employees shall be paid bi-weekly. <br /> <br />7.2 Salaries <br /> <br /> Salaries shall be determined annually by those factors traditionally taken into <br /> consideration in the determination of wages, hours and other terms and <br /> conditions of public and pdvate employment including, but not limited to, <br /> changes in the average Consumer Price [ndex for goods and services, the <br /> wages, hours and other terms or conditions of employment of other employees <br /> performing similar sarvices, and the finandal condition of the City. <br /> <br /> <br />
