<br />SWc:sh 7/11/85 <br /> <br />---------- <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N o. 9 945 <br /> <br />JUL 2 2 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FOR TREE REMOVAL AND TREE <br />PRUNING, 1985-86; AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SAID WORK <br /> <br />OR\G1NAL <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9910 adopted June 17, <br /> <br />1985, the City Clerk called for bids for Tree Removal and Tree <br /> <br />Pruning 1985-86; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received for the <br /> <br />performance of said work and filed with the City Clerk; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, James R. Cox dba J. Cox Tree and Landscape <br /> <br />Service, Redwood City, California, lS the lowest responsible <br /> <br />bidder and it is the intention and desire of this Council to <br /> <br />award bid to said James R. Cox; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of James R. Cox, dba J. Cox Tree and Landscape <br /> <br />Sevice in the sum of Fifty Eight and No/lOa Dollars ($58.00) per <br /> <br />hour for a total not to exceed One Hundred Ten Thousand and <br /> <br />No/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($110,000.00), computed in accordance with <br /> <br />bidder's proposal dated June 30, 1985, for Tree Removal and Tree <br /> <br />Pruning 1985-86, is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby <br /> <br />found and declared to be the lowest bidder for said work. <br /> <br />2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to <br /> <br />enter into and execute on behalf of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />that certain agreement entitled "Agreement," by and between the <br /> <br />Ci ty of Redwood City and James R. Cox, dba J. Cox Tree and <br /> <br />9945 <br />
