<br />DCB:sh 7/8/85 <br />JUL 1 5 1985 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9936 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE FURNISHING OF <br />ASPHALT CONCRETE FOR 1985-86 FISCAL YEAR; AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT THEREFOR; AND DIRECTING RETURN <br />OF SECURITY DEPOSITS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9898, adopted June 10, <br /> <br />1985, the City Clerk called for bids for the furnishing of <br /> <br />asphalt concrete for 1985-86 Fiscal Year; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said call, bids were received and <br /> <br />filed with the City Clerk for the furnishing of said materials; <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Granite Rock Company, Redwood City, California, <br /> <br />is the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials, and it is the intention of this Council to award said <br /> <br />bid to Granite Rock Company; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />1. The bid of Granite Rock Company, in the amount of <br /> <br />Fifty-Three Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Six and 89/100 Dollars <br /> <br />($53,956.89), more or less, for the furnishing of asphalt <br /> <br />concrete for 1985-86 Fiscal Year in accordance with the bidder's <br /> <br />proposal, dated June 19, 1985, and in accordance with the <br /> <br />specifications therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br />is hereby accepted and said bidder is hereby found and declared <br /> <br />to be the lowest responsible bidder for the furnishing of said <br /> <br />materials. <br /> <br />9936 <br />
