<br />DFS:djg-c 7/9/85 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />NO.9933 <br /> <br />JUL 1 5 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />WITH FAIR OAKS SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, COUNTY OF SAN <br />MATEO, PROVIDING FOR SANITARY SEWERAGE TREATMENT CAPACITY <br />RIGHTS, AND RESCINDING RESOLUTION NO. 8172 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Oaks Sewer Maintenance District is a sewer <br /> <br />maintenance district of the County of San Mateo, State of <br /> <br />California, which owns and operates certain sanitary sewerage <br /> <br />collection and transmission facilities serving lands within its <br /> <br />service area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an agreement by and between District <br /> <br />and City dated July 15, 1947, as amended, the parties currently <br /> <br />provide for the transmission, treatment and disposal of sewage <br /> <br />emanating from District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City is a party to that certain <br /> <br />joint exercise of powers agreement establishing the South Bayside <br /> <br />System Authority, a public entity, which provides sanitary <br /> <br />sewerage transmission, treatment and disposal services to City <br /> <br />and to other constituent agencies of said Authority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Authority has caused to be constructed new <br /> <br />sanitary sewerage treatment facilities for use in conjunction <br /> <br />with its transmission and disposal facilities to serve its <br /> <br />service area, including lands served by the District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the construction of said new sanitary sewerage <br /> <br />treatment facilities was and is funded by Federal and State <br /> <br />grants together with local public funds, but the capacity of said <br /> <br />facilities so grant-funded to treat sewage is restricted by <br /> <br />9933 <br />
