<br />MIG, Inc. <br /> <br />EXIIIl1IT <br /> <br />A <br /> <br />A~ <br /> <br />Main Library Parking and Community Area Reconfiguration/Renovation Project <br />Conceptual Design <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />Task 1 Project Initiation and Analysis <br />The work in Task 1 includes finalizing the scope of work, developing the project <br />schedule and the in-house project administration and management. MIG will meet with <br />the City to initiate the project if necessary to supplement the preliminary meeting of <br />January 4. <br /> <br />MIG will collect and receive from the City data pertinent to the site including survey and <br />area context information. MIG will conduct a site visit to inventory existing conditions. <br />MIG will review library programs, existing and proposed as far as is known in order to <br />understand the desired potential uses for the area. <br /> <br />Task 2 Concept Plans <br />Based on the information collected and analyzed in Task 1, MIG will prepare for <br />approval by the City Staff, a Site Program detailing the proposed and potential uses for <br />the area. <br /> <br />Upon approval of the Site Program, MIG will develop a Preliminary Conceptual Design <br />Plan with Alternative Features showing area layout and connections to the library and <br />parking, existing and new planting, site furnishings and other features. <br />MIG will prepare preliminary cost information for the Plan. <br /> <br />MIG will present this plan for discussion with City Staff. <br />Per the direction of City Staff, MIG will revise the plan as required for presentation to a <br />community meeting. <br />MIG will assist the City Staff in planning the meeting and attend the meeting to present <br />the Preliminary Concept Plan as required. <br /> <br />MIG will prepare notes from the meeting and debrief with the City Staff to determine the <br />Preferred Alternative Plan. Per this direction, MIGwill finalize the Conceptual Design <br />Plan and Cost Estimate for presentation to the Recreation and Parks Commission and the <br />City Council. <br /> <br />Optional Tasks <br />The basic project steps are outlined above. In addition there are several optional tasks <br />that we can suggest to increase the depth of the design. <br /> <br />. There may be an opportunity to further involve the library board and library staff <br />in the development of the vision for the area to completely integrate library <br />programs and space with the outdoors to achieve the most use possible. <br />. Some features of the Conceptual Plan may be developed as part of the desired <br />vision that will be outside of the current available funding. A fund raising effort <br />
