<br />SWC:sh 5/31/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />9892 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />JUN 3 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE <br />(COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT) AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION AND FILING OF ALL DOCUMENTS PERTAINING <br />THERETO (FISCAL YEAR 1985-86) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant Program <br /> <br />authorized pursuant to Title I of the Housing and Community <br /> <br />Development Act of 1974, as enacted by the Congress of the United <br /> <br />States (Pub. Law 93-383), provides for the issuance of grants in <br /> <br />order to attain the objective of the development of viable urban <br /> <br />communi ties, by providing decent housing and a sui table living <br /> <br />environment and expanding economic opportunities, principally for <br /> <br />persons of low or moderate income; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to, and reviewed by this <br /> <br />Council, an application to the United States Department of <br /> <br />Housing and Urban Development for a Community Development Block <br /> <br />Grant in the amount of Six Hundred Forty-One Thousand and No/IOO <br /> <br />Dollars ($641,000.00) for the period of July 1, 1985, through <br /> <br />June 30, 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been prepared by the Planning Director a <br /> <br />Notice of Determination, determining that the proposed Community <br /> <br />Development Block Grant Program, as set forth in the aforesaid <br /> <br />application, is exempt from the requirements of NEPA and CEQA as <br /> <br />a ministerial project and does not have a significant effect on <br /> <br />the environment, and a notice of such determination filed with <br /> <br />the County Clerk of San Mateo County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to approve the aforementioned <br /> <br />application for a Community Development Block Grant and to <br /> <br />9 8~ 2 <br />
