<br />SViTC:sh 3/7/85 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />98.26 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />MAR 11 1985 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AMENDMENT TO TREE REMOVAL AND <br />TREE PRUNING, 1984-85 AGREEMENT, TO ALLOW FOR THE <br />EXPENDITURE OF ADDITIONAL FUNDS THEREUNDER <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 9661, adopted August 6, <br /> <br />1984, the City Council authorized the execution of an Agreement <br /> <br />with Henry Kramer, dba Econo-Tree ("Econo-Tree") for tree removal <br /> <br />and tree pruning during the 1984-85 fiscal year: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />pursuant <br /> <br />to <br /> <br />said Resolution, <br /> <br />the <br /> <br />City <br /> <br />and <br /> <br />Econo-Tree entered into an Agreement whereby Econo-Tree has <br /> <br />performed street tree maintenance work, upon request by City, at <br /> <br />the hourly rate of Sixty-two and No/lOO Dollars ($62.00), at a <br /> <br />total contract price not to exceed Fifty Thousand and No/lOO <br /> <br />Dollars ($50,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City has been understaffed in the area of <br /> <br />street tree maintenance work during the term of said Agreement, <br /> <br />and has therefore required more ~treet tree maintenance work of <br />I <br /> <br />Econo-Tree than was originally an~icipated; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City will requ~re street tree maintenance work <br /> <br />under said contract in an amount greater than Fifty Thousand and <br /> <br />No/lOO Dollars ($50,000.00); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire bf this Council to approve the <br /> <br />expenditure of additional funds ~p to Twenty-Seven Thousand and <br /> <br />No/lOO Dollars ($27,000.00) in o~der to complete the street tree <br />maintenance work deemed necessary by the Director of Parks and <br /> <br />Recreation: <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />9826 <br />
