AGREEMENT FOR SERVICE BETWEEN THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT This agreement is made as of this ~ day of December, 2002 by and between the City of Redwood City (contractor) and the Sequoia Union High School District (SUHSD). Now, therefore the parties agree as follows: 1. Services The Contractor agrees to provide a School Resource Officer four days per week for a total of forty hours per week for nine months at Sequoia High School in accordance with the terms and conditions of this agreement. 2. Scope of Services The Contractor'agrees to provide a School Resource Officer for four days per week at Sequoia High School to assist the school community as needed. 3. Use of Subcontractors The Contractor shall not assign this agreement or any portion thereof to a third party without the prior written consent of the School District. 4.1nsurance The Contractor understands the SUHSD does not provide liability, malpractice, or workers compensation insurance for the Contractor. The Contractor is responsible for the maintenance of personal and professional insurance t¢ provide protection for any claims arising out of service under this agreement. 5. Equal Employment Opportunity In connection with the performance of this Agreement, the Contractor shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, religion, color, sex, physical or mental disability, age, sexual orientation, or national origin. The contractor shall comply with section 504 of the Rehab21itation Act of 1973, which provides that no otherwise qualified handicapped individual shall, solely by reason of a handicap, be excluded fi.om participation, or be denied the performance of this agreement.
