ORIGINAL <br /> <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SAN MATEO COUNTY LIBRARY JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY <br /> <br /> 2000, is made by and between the SAN MATEO COUNTY LIBRARY J~_P)DWERS <br /> AUTHORITY ("AUTHORITy',) and the CITY OF REDWOOD CITY ("CITy''). <br /> <br /> ~RECITALS: <br /> <br /> WIREREAS, the County of San Mateo ("COUNvi. y,,) and the CITY of Redwood City have <br /> previously entered into a "Common Use/Shared Facility License Agreement" dated June 6, 1995 <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the "License Agreement"); and <br /> <br /> V~'HEREAS, paragraph 1 of Part II and paragraph 6 of Part III of the License Agreement call <br /> for the CITY of Redwood City to operate the Fair Oaks Library at the Middlefield Road facility, with <br /> the COL~-Ty contributing annually to the operating costs of that Library; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under paragraph 1 of Part IV of the License Agreement the initial term of the <br /> License Agreement is to "continue in effect as long as both parcels are used for community serving <br /> ~ci!iries, b'~t in any event the term of the Agreement shall be no longer than (30) years from June 6, <br /> 1995"~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the License Agreement the COUNTY contribution to the Fair Oaks <br />L/braD' was set at a base of $94,600 effective FY 1995/1996, with increases or decreases for FY <br />1996.,,'1997 through 1999/2000 at the same rate as the change in the County Library's base property <br /> <br /> <br />
