<br />~ ~ : sh <br /> <br />8/15/84 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 9 687 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br />AUG 2 7 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br />AGREEMENT FOR SPECIAL LEGAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH <br />THE ISSUE OF TAX AND REVENUE ANTICIPATION NOTES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council desires to issue Tax and Revenue <br /> <br />Anticipation Notes (TRAN) pursuant to Sections 53850 et seq. of <br /> <br />the California Government Code and Section 66 of the Charter of <br /> <br />the City of Redwood City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in connection with the above mentioned TRAN <br /> <br />issue, this Council requires the advice and assistance of special <br /> <br />legal counsel; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the firm of Jones, Hall, Hill & White, a <br /> <br />Professional Law Corporation, of San Francisco, California has <br /> <br />represented that it is qualified by training and experience to <br /> <br />provide the services of such special legal counsel, and said <br /> <br />Attorneys are willing to provide such services; and <br />WHEREAS, the public interest, economy and general <br /> <br />welfare will be served by entering into the Agreement hereinafter <br /> <br />referenced; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF PORT COMMISSIONERS OF <br /> <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement entitled "Agreement - By and <br /> <br />Between the City of Redwood City and Jones, Hall, Hill & White, a <br /> <br />Professional Law Corporation, for Bond Counsel Services in <br /> <br />Connection with Tax and Revenue Anticipation Note Proceedings" a <br /> <br />{) c8 7 <br />,] \} <br />
