<br />DCB:sh 8/22/84 <br /> <br />or proj ect basis, a contract appointment may be made upon <br /> <br />recommendation of the Department Head and authorization of <br /> <br /> <br />the City Manager. <br /> <br /> <br />The duties, responsibilities, benefits, and tenure for <br /> <br />contract appointments shall be established by contract <br /> <br /> <br />between the City and the individual so employed and shall <br /> <br /> <br />terminate on the contract termination date or upon <br /> <br />completion of said project or at such time funding is no <br /> <br /> <br />longer available for such project, whichever is earlier. <br /> <br /> <br />Benefi ts, including life insurance, health insurance, <br /> <br /> <br />vacations, sick leave, or retirement, shall not be granted <br /> <br /> <br />to nor accrued by contract employees except as may be <br /> <br />provided for in the contract developed by the City for such <br /> <br /> <br />contract employees or the particular program or project <br /> <br />which necessitated the hiring of such contract employeeS. <br /> <br /> <br />Contract employees shall not acquire regular status for the <br /> <br /> <br />period so employed nor accrue credit toward completion of <br /> <br /> <br />any probationary periods." <br /> <br />2.
