<br />SWC:djg-c 10/18/84 <br /> <br />OCT 22 1984 <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />(\ t"'>./ 1 S <br />~ 2. ~ ' . <br /> <br />ORiGJNAl <br /> <br />RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING NOVEMBER 18 TO DECEMBER 8, 1984 AS <br />CHILD SAFETY DAYS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the City of Redwood City, let it be recognized <br /> <br />that our youth are our greatest natural resource; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in the City of Redwood City, restoration of public <br /> <br />and personal safety, especially that of our children, is an <br /> <br />utmost priority; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, in enhancing personal safety for our youth, we will <br /> <br />assistant our children in identifying an avoiding dangerous <br /> <br />situations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the people of Redwood <br /> <br />Ci ty to provide personal safety information to our youth to <br /> <br />reduce vulnerability to specific crimes against children; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the people of Redwood City will strive to help <br /> <br />children understand what it means to be responsible for the <br /> <br />property of oneself and others, and to encourage good citizenship <br /> <br />in our youth; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the youth of Redwood City will get to know their <br /> <br />local law enforcement officers, and know that these officers are <br /> <br />there to help them. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That the Council of the City of Redwood City hereby supports <br /> <br />Seven-Eleven Stores, the San Francisco Forty-Niners, and Dr. <br /> <br />9715 <br />
