<br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. 9 64 4 <br /> <br />ORIGINAL <br /> <br />JUL 2 J 1~d4 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF <br /> <br /> <br />AGREEMENT WITH CENTER FOR INDEPENDENCE OF THE DISABLED, INC. <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc., has been <br /> <br /> <br />established for the principal purpose of providing non-residential peer <br /> <br /> <br />self-help support service by and for the disabled geared to assist in <br /> <br /> <br />their independence; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc., has <br /> <br /> <br />requested financial assistance for use by it in conducting its <br /> <br /> <br />activities during the fiscal year commencing July 1, 1984 and ending <br /> <br /> <br />June 30, 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Redwood City has reviewed said requests and <br /> <br /> <br />desires to pay to Center for Independence of the Disabled, Inc., the <br /> <br />sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred Thirty-five and NO/100 Dollars <br /> <br /> <br />($5,735.00); and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Council for approval an <br /> <br /> <br />agreement between the City of Redwood City and Center for Independence <br /> <br />of the Disabled, Inc., and it is the intention and desire of this <br /> <br /> <br />Council to approve the same; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, AS <br /> <br /> <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> <br />That certain agreement (form dated 6/27/84), by and between the <br /> <br /> <br />City of Redwood City and Center for Independence of Disabled, Inc., <br /> <br /> <br />a copy of which agreement is on file in the office of the City Clerk, <br /> <br /> <br />to which copy reference is hereby made for full particulars thereof, is <br /> <br /> <br />hereby approved, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed <br /> <br /> <br />to execute the same for and on behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />9 64 J <br />
