FOR <br />SEISMIC S'I'UDY OF CITY HALL AND LIBRARY BUILDING <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City requires a seismic study of the City Hall and <br /> <br />Library Building that will include, but not be limited to, review <br /> <br />of existing building drawings and soil reports, field inspection, <br /> <br />prepare required calculating to check the buildings resistance to <br /> <br />1979 Uniform Building Code seismic static forces, and prepare <br /> <br />report summarizing its findings and conclusions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Consultant has represented to City that it is <br /> <br />experienced and qualified to perform all of the services required <br /> <br />in connection with the preparation of such seismic study; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE: <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, <br /> <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />That certain agreement by and between the City of Redwood <br /> <br />City and Design & Engineering Systems, Inc., entitled "Agreement <br /> <br />- Seismic Study of City Hall and Library Building" (form dated <br /> <br />7/20/84), a copy of which is on file in the office of the City <br /> <br />Clerk, to which copy reference is hereby made for full <br /> <br />particulars thereof, is hereby approved, and the City Manager is <br /> <br />hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement and on <br /> <br />behalf of the City of Redwood City. <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />9631 <br />
