<br />DF.S:djg-c 5/10/84 <br /> <br />O. r<r. 1 ".1 1 L <br />'llH.Ji Hh <br /> <br />RES 0 L UTI 0 N <br /> <br />N O. <br /> <br />95tj6 <br /> <br />MAY 21 1984 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION COMMENDING MARIO BIAGI FOR EXEMPLARY SERVICE <br />AND ACHIEVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mario Biagi has served as a member of the City <br /> <br />Council of the City of Redwood City from 1976 to April, 1984; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mario determined not to seek reelection in 1984 in <br /> <br />order to devote time to his family and private interests; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, prior to serving on the City Council, Mario was a <br /> <br />member of the City Planning Commission and was active in many <br /> <br />civic organizations and activities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mario served as Mayor of the City of Redwood City <br /> <br />from 1980 to 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Mario has brought to all of his public offices and <br /> <br />service an excellent understanding of people and their needs to <br /> <br />be served by the municipality; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, during his years of service on the Council, Mario <br /> <br />has achieved an outstanding record, including his ability to <br /> <br />apply private enterprise business principles to municipal <br /> <br />problems in order to address major economic concerns which have <br /> <br />confronted the City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, he has gained great admiration and respect for his <br /> <br />leadership ability and devotion to his City; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that this Council commend <br /> <br />Mario upon the occasion of his return to the private sector; <br /> <br />95t)6 <br />
